Regarding this: "It has been said that kicking techniques in Hapkido are not identical to Tae Kwon Do, but that is false."

Since Neither Choi nor Ji Han Jae ever studied Tae Kwon Do it's a rather odd assertion that the kicks in Sin Moo Hapkido are identical to Tae Kwon Do kicks.

I am a Sin Moo Hapkido student, and I have worked with Tae Kwon Do students, and I assure you that beyond a limited few the kicks are not identical.

Thanks.

I agree. Furthermore,

1. Why not just post a link to wikipedia instead of reposting an out-of-date article?
2. TKD kicks came from Shotokan karate, and influenced by Taekkyon.
3. Hapkido kicks came from Daito-ryu aiki jiujutsu, and were influenced and added to from Taekkyon techniques.
4. The passive voice is for weenies, especially in online articles ("some say...") who have no evidence to back up their own personal opinions.

Are you joke? In the aiki-jitsu dayto-ryu, or yavara, which taught Choi Jon Sol the kick technic were only distracting. All kick technic of sin moo hapkido - from Taekkyon, or Somrando. Read any interview with Do Ju Nim Je Han Jae.
