We in the LGBT community have a thoughtful decision to make. Many of us know Phillip (Flip) Benham as "family". He is one of us in his sexual preference. It is bound to come out soon because of his increasing public amplification of hate & violence towards his own "family". I for one know he is good at heart, and I also remember when I was terrified of being out myself. He smokescreens much of his true life by being an outspoken evangelical preacher whose words and actions cause even other evangelical clergy to distance themselves from him. I say we give him a soft place to fall, because fall he will.
