Steam balance is a must to our 30 years old factory to adopt or to adjust its operation with the newly (2nd hand) acquired cogeneration power plant. this power plant is a double extraction turbines with the condenser in the last stage operating with boiler of 850 psig. its 1st extraction is at 150 psig to operate the mill turbines and the 15 psig to augment the exhaust coming from the mill turbines for the process operation.
My concerned is that the steam that goes to the condenser of the power plant steam turbines which it cannot used for our process operation.
my question is goes this way
1. what is the minimum tons of steam will does the condenser needs for safer operation?
2. Does the steam goes to the condenser varies or increase as the power generate increases?
3. will you provide me the steam map of the cogeneration power plant?
