Splash Tile refers to the wall tile in a kitchen between the counter top and the cabinets. It's commonly placed behind stoves for added heat protection and along entire counter walls for ease of cleaning. Typically a design or tile mural is centered above the stove or sink within the wall tile. Also small 6"x6" Deco tiles are centered along the counter walls several feet apart.
