I joined this site because it turned up in my internet attempt to explain, to someone else, who Socrates/Plato was.

I have read all Plato and Xenophon wrote (and a lot of others of similar ilk, e.g. Descartes, Kant and Hume).

I expected better, of this site, than what I have seen so far.

Maybe I can trigger something with the assertion that "everything since Plato has just been a footnote".

Not something I originated (I cannot recall who did) but true.
