I think YES! Because the soap would get more viewers and more soap awards and the BBC HQ in London would give it more coverage. Plus the BBC would save more money by just having the regulars in every episode. It seems to make sense to me.

No I dont think so. Having different storylines is part and parcel of Doctors. Its nice to have ongoing stories with the cast but we need the different stories everyday otherwise Doctors will be no different than all the other dreary soaps.
