Back in the mid to late 70s (perhaps even early 80s?) I recall finding on bookstore shelves a large-format science fiction graphic novel that used photographs to tell its story. It was a "Star Wars"-type space opera. It also had some fleeting sex scenes in it, which gave it the flavor of the sort of thing Heavy Metal Magazine might have published, though I don't think it was actually a Heavy Metal publication. Whatever its origins, it was very much an artifact of its time. I would love to get my hands on a copy. Anyone out there know the book / graphic novel / fotonovel / photonovel / fumetti I'm talking about?
