Military funeral

Seeking Guidance from a military perspective.

While serving as official members of a Military Honors Funeral Detail, in a Church, in Class A Uniform, a debate arose. One contention was: the Honor Guard Team members should remove their "Headgear" (i.e., Beret) upon entering the Church and remain "Uncovered" during the performance of the Religious Service and then "Recover" when they rose to perform their portion of the Military Honors. The other view held that as official members of a Military Honors Funeral Detail, in Class A Uniform, they should remain "Covered" even though they are in a Church.
