See Live Demonstrations of the Latest Trends in the Corrugated Industry at SinoCorrugated South 2012

According to a mid-year report to analyze economic performance in the first half of 2011 recently published by the Organization for Co-operation and Development, in a period that has spanned the completion of the global economy’s recovery; the Japan earthquake and the subsequent nuclear crisis, six of the world’s major economies (US, Canada, Germany, France, Britain and Italy) enjoyed a stronger than expected growth in the first half of 2011. The overall annual growth rate of these markets is expected to reach 3%. Against this backdrop of revitalized global economies, the need for corrugated board packaging is also growing rapidly.

Statistics from the World Packaging Organization show that in 2009 the scale of the global packaging industry was USD 563.8 billion, of which paper packaging accounted for USD 216 billion, 38% of the total. The China paper manufacturing industry’s 2009 report, published by the China Paper Association, also announced that from 2000 to 2009, the growth rates of output and sales in China’s paper industry had reached 183.28% and 139.69% respectively. This is due to the fact that in recent years the growth rate of China’s corrugated board industry has hovered around a massive 18% to 20%. Expectations are that by 2013, China will surpass the United States and become the largest corrugated board market in the world.

In 2012, Asia-Pacific’s largest showcase and trade platform for corrugated board, SinoCorrugated South, will highlight the latest market trends and promote new trade standards. Visitors will be able to engage industry peers face-to-face and, in so doing, efficiently develop the numerous business opportunities on-site.

SinoCorrugated South will also be the only exhibition that displays a comprehensive array of the most advanced corrugated board manufacturing solutions in China. More than this, the exhibition will be a key gathering of the top suppliers of corrugated boardmaking equipment in the world.

Today, an increasing number of corrugated board producers accept that it is vital to constantly upgrade equipment and improve technology. This need to stay technically up-to-date presents both a challenge and an opportunity for producers to transform their manufacturing practices. In the future, highly automated corrugated board manufacturing equipment with stable performance, fast operation speed and low energy consumption will be the staple of all the world’s major corrugated cardboard producers. For this reason, SinoCorrugated South 2012 will be the perfect place for forward-thinking manufacturers to get a head start on all the emerging technologies and equipment.

When printing small orders for corrugated board, colored printing usually produces 2% to 5% of waste during the process of adjusting and fixing flaws. This waste of original materials lowers profits. However, a new kind of printing technology with an automatic digital color printer has entered the market. It requires no plate to operate; it’s fully automated and uses low-cost printing ink that only costs about RMB 0.25 per cubic meter. The fully automatic digital color inkjet printer goes a long way towards solving the problem of waste.

To support low-carbon, energy-saving and low-emission manufacturing, a new non-carbon, low-temperature corrugated board production line has been introduced. Unlike traditional production lines that use high-temperature steam, this new line uses no boilers, coal or steam. The entire process emits no pollution and can produce steam without needing time to first heat up. It not only effectively reduces manufacturing costs, it also improves the quality of the corrugated board produced.

All the technologies and equipment mentioned here will be on display at SinoCorrugated South 2012 between April 11 and April 13 next year. As the leader in corrugated industry exhibitions, the event will showcase a diverse array of advanced technologies, equipment and products to local and international corrugated board producers. Participants will learn about new industry trends, have the chance to explore global markets and promote their brands through this singular show.
