Sandra Bezic NOT Fair to Russian Figure Skaters - NBC Please Do Something About It

Honestly, in all my years following the Winter Olympics, I have not seen more mean spirited and low blow comments than those coming from Sandra Bezic. It is especially disheartening to listen to her verbal abuse of the Russian figure skaters, picking out the most minute negative details and overlooking the overall great performance. Perhaps she's forgotten that the majority of figure skating gold medals have come from the former USSR and that the American teams in this competition have Russian coaches. Or that Plushenko did in fact get a medal...
I'm not sure if it's a Cold War replay or pure jealousy on her part, but I find her consistently negative comments regarding the Russians to be nasty and far from professional/constructive criticism. Aside from being plainly offensive, her behavior is unprofessional and makes me not want to watch NBC ever again. As a member of the Russian community, I'm quite upset by Sandra Bezic's annoying comments, but I doubt NBC will ever do anything about it. So much for US open-mindedness.

I totally do agree with you that Sandra Bezic who makes nasty comments to foreign figure skaters. What is wrong with her? I understand that everyone has individual opinions and freedom of speech, however, I think that she should be more intelligent to understand the situation. I mean, she should respect all the figure skaters out there together with her favorites if she wants to continue her work as a critic in public. She also insulted Japanese figure skaters. I guess she has no sense of being a critic. I am so upset and I feel like turn off the sound of TV whenever she makes unappropriate comments as this is NOT the first time that she was very rude.
Scott Hamilton was excited about the american gold medalist, but I think that he knows how to be respectful to the other figure skaters.
Even though, I am Japanese, I am a big fan of Russian figure skaters since I was a child and always love their artistic beauty.

Thank you Emerald, I'm glad I'm not alone out there! And congrats to the Japanese skaters - they've shown a great performance this time around and they have a wonderful Olympics future!
