Born in Tehran, Iran, April 1978, Sanaz Mazinani is a graduate of the Ontario College of Art and Design creating contemporary art through photography, video, and drawing. Exhibited extensively in Canada, she is represented by the Stephen Bulger Gallery in Toronto, and her works can be found in many private collections. Mazinani has been active in the Toronto arts community since 2000 via exhibitions, publications, curatorial projects and arts administration. She is the recipient of the Ontario Arts Council grant in 2008 and the Toronto Arts Council grant in 2006. She has worked closely with the CONTACT Toronto Photography Festival as Programming Coordinator and Educational Programmer.
