Sailing ship

Okay, my homework assignment is to write 12 factual sentencees about sailing ships (and conditions on the ships) from the years 1750-1770.
Iam completely clueless. We have not learned anything on ships, we were just told to go research the assignment. I have been looking around the internet for about an hour now, and can find anything that pertains to the dates/years I have to research.
