Following facts emerge about SIKH MOVEMENTS AND SECTS:-

1. Namdhari Movement
2. Nirankari Movement
3. Sant Nirankaris
4. The Nihangs
5. The Radhasoamis
6. Yogi Bhajan's 3HO
7. Ahluwalias & Ramgarhias
8. Khalistan Movement
9. Singh Sabha Movement
10. Udasi Sikhs
11. Nirmala Sikhs
12. Sufism
13. Various Other SECTS
14. Lobanas/Vanjaras
15. Sachkhand Nanak Dham

So the Radhasoamis are one of the fifteen sects of SIKHS which is further confirmed from the fact that all the five RSSB GURUS belong to Sikh families of Punjab only.

But in view of proclamations to the effect that RSSB is nothing but a philosophy and not a Religion, it is being opined by various people, knowing about the behavior displayed by RSSB SATSANGIS as that of a cult, that RSSB philosophers should marry with RSSB philosopher spouse only else should lead an unmarried life so as not to cause any pain to any non RSSB followers or their families and avoid miseries and pain being faced by non-RSSB families having committed blunder to have arranged marriages other way. In fact all such miseries are arising due to misgivings spread on account of vide communication gap between the teachings of the present GURU/BABAJI and those being miss-conveyed by various speakers at different SATSANG centers continuing without any resolution in absence of availability of any recorded teachings of the so called live GURU IN HUMAN FORM (GIHF)/BABAJI.

MANY MANY GOOD WISHES FOR the COMING 9TH ANNIVERSARY! May GOD shower all HIS blessings on the family with happiness, prosperity and best of health!

Regarding a happy married life, unless following facts are clarified, one cannot ascertain as if one is leading a married life, which is nothing but a struggle within itself, full of responsibilities and liabilities towards creation of GOD itself.

1. What is the education level of both ?(Husband and wife)

2. What is the job status of both?

3. How many kids are there in the family and who attends to the kids for preparing for school or for home work etc.?

4. What is the status of parents i.e. whether are they part of the family or living separately and what is their age?

By the way,i don't see a point how these questions are related to RS pain and suffering and it seems more like personal questions applicable to any common man.
Anyway to quench your thrust,
We both are graduates. I am an government employee and she is housewife. We have two kids and they are taken care about by both of us. Parents age lie b/w 70 and 80 and yes they are part of the family too.

Lot of thanks for answering even personal questions with openness and comforts. These questions, in addition to one more question relating to the prescribed 10% donation with or without freedom to SATSANGIS, were given to about 187 RSSB devotees at several SATSANG centers for ascertaining the facts on ground, based on the type of observations found to have been raised in this forum during 2012. However, only 153 devotees did reply such questions.

However, in the instant case, these questions arose as part of the discussion/topic itself.

From the above answers, showing at least some flexibility, in following the spiritual norms, appear to be one reason for maintaining happy family life. The other reason, of course for such reported happy life, appears to be that the spouse is looking after kids as also other household work whereas in this era in most of the cases both are working. Even then following daily schedule of meditation as also sparing time for weekly SATSANG and SEWA, has been found to be main obstacle for leading a balanced happy life. As a result of such imbalances, above 90% families were found to be under lot of stress and in some cases SATSANGIS were found to be suffering from depression. Most glaring and disturbing revelation during this survey was to note the extent of divorce cases among RSSB followers that too mostly where one of the two was found non-satsangi.

Most disturbing part was found to be lot of misgivings spread among RSSB followers due to miss-interpretation of RSSB teachings by the speakers at various centers. Joining RSSB and following SANTMAT with blind faith at young age was observed to be another reason for so much distress among devotees, requiring urgent need to enhance the age to 60 years for NAAM DAAN, more so when no target could be ever prescribed for a certain level of attainment in spirituality.

HERE ARE THE ABSTRACTS OF A CONVERSATION BETWEEN A RISHI DEVI GAUTAMI AND MAHARISHI KANWASA ABOUT ONE’S FAMILY DUTIES HELD IN THEIR ASHRAM, WHEN THE MAHARISHI WAS IN MEDITATION/DHYAAN

DEVI GAUTAMI TO MAHARISHI, “BHAGWAAN MEIN DHYAN LAGANE KA ARTH KYA YEH HAI KI APP PAARIVARIK DAYITVON KO DHYAN HE NAA DEIN?”

MAHARISHI REPLIED, “BHAGWAAN KA DHYAAN AGAR KISI KO PARIWARIK DAYITVON SE DOOR LE JAE, TO SAMAJH LO KE OOS DHYAAN MEIN KHOT HAI DEVI GAUTAMI.”

NB:-The ABOVE observations are being made on reading two posts, including one dated 28/01/2013 under the topic of “Sivay parmatma ke sabka sthan barabar hai.”

==> No problem.
Primordial sewa is meditation for you master with love and devotion and it is been quoted many many times in sant mat books. I don't know about you but i have personally seen more spiritual progress after physical and financial sewa.

"From the above answers, showing at least some flexibility, in following the spiritual norms, appear to be one reason for maintaining happy family life. The other reason, of course for such reported happy life, appears to be that the spouse is looking after kids as also other household work whereas in this era in most of the cases both are working."

==> Then i don't think it is related to RSSB in any way and seems equally applicable to all people.

"Even then following daily schedule of meditation as also sparing time for weekly SATSANG and SEWA, has been found to be main obstacle for leading a balanced happy life."

==> It don't seem to be in my case and not in most of RS families i know. So this statement of yours conjoined with above clearly reflects that this is nothing peculiar but just a stereotype.

"Joining RSSB and following SANTMAT with blind faith at young age was observed to be another reason for so much distress among devotees"

==> That's why minimum age was upgraded to 25 for males so that this decision is made by him alone and not imposed by any other at a much younger age.

"requiring urgent need to enhance the age to 60 years for NAAM DAAN, more so when no target could be ever prescribed for a certain level of attainment in spirituality. "

==>Yesterday i was reading mystic poetry by Mira and literally laughed at this statement. Please excuse me for this!
Here's the poem,

****************************
Your temple without the lamp
Is dark and dismal.
The chapel is now shaking,
Ready to topple.

Its pillars, wasted with age,
Now stand frail and old,
And the sinking foundation
Their weight cannot hold.

With cup in hand one goes
Door to door for oil,
That the lamp he may kindle,
But vain in his toil.

The grocer has quit his stall,
The shop is empty,
And the minions of Yama
Are dancing with glee.

But Mira in the Lord's love
Does happily stay,
The serfs of Yama, with ease,
She drives away.
*****************************

Meaning: In this poem the human body is compared to a temple in which one must light the lamp of divine knowledge before it is too late. But most people, after wasting their entire life in vain pursuits, expect to realize the Lord at the time of death. Mira warns that in old age the temple of the body starts shaking, the flesh and muscles waste away, only brittle bones, like tottering pillars, remain. Even the foundation, that is the life force, is about to give way. The end has come.
It is now that a person wants to light the lamp of knowledge, but having made no provision for oil he goes in search of it from door to door; in other words, he involves himself in external observances. It is, however, too late. The life force that was running the show has been withdrawn and the shop of the body is now vacant. The yamdoots, or the messengers of death, rejoice for they have yet another soul in their cluthes.
Mira concludes the poem by suggesting that those who, like her, have attained the Lord while living effortlessly drive away the messengers of death.

(Quoted from Mira - The Divine Lover,RSSB,page 125)

==> The moral is right. We must not run away from family, responsibilities, duties etc. in this modern era.
By the way, i would like to know where this excerpt is quoted from. Looks interersting. I have never heard about devi gautami and maharishi kanwasa before.

"**187 RSSB devotees** at several SATSANG centers for ascertaining the facts on ground, based on the type of observations found to have been raised in this **forum during 2012**. However, only **153 devotees** did reply such questions.

==>Certain questions can be framed from above forementioned statements,
1. Which organisation conducted the survey?
2. Which satsang centers were involved?
3. Where was the survey conducted ?
4. Lots of doctors and psychologists advice people to do meditation/yoga to get rid of stress and depression. How can it be simply asserted on the basis of unproved facts and accounts that this statement is false?
5. Which organisation conducted the divorce survey? Was it the same who conducted previous survey?
6. Why was this survey not conducted on non-RS families?
7. Which organisation conducted the survey on forums?
8. I don't see any asked questions by any survey team here on this forum and neither this forum system has private message system to contact a particular user. So how was this so called survey conducted?
9. How can the survey team be so sure about the collected data from this forum where most users are not using their real names or just fake names or even multiple accounts?
10. Where is the report showing the above mentioned numbers and facts, disclose it so that we can see it and analyze?

I would be glad if all the above queries are cleared.

In view of comments of mr. Starspeed in a subsequent box, "(Ah. Now i see your roots. Your hostile behavior confirmed it. Thanks!!)

So there is no need to offer comments here also, more so when Mr. Starspeed has also prescribed some qualification also for participating, in this forum in general, but to his posts in particular. So first let someone submit such degree (of initiation) before going ahead to deal with his posts. Rather roots and behavior also need to be got checked from Mr. Starspeed before responding to such posts.

Topic of discussion remained inconclusive by disputing the survey results brought out by some Mr. Singh.

On going through the contents of this Forum alone, following facts do confirm the findings of Mr. Singh.

For this purpose, following topics raised by various RSSB devotees need to be gone through to draw one's conclusions without any dispute:-
