Where did that information come from? He died while working on a commercial dryer at a state laundry. He had worked for the state at that facility, but when he retired the private company (Little Rhody, Inc) hired him to work for them as he had the experience at the location. He was scheduled to work a half a day, which may have lead to his death. He sent a co-worker to Providence to pick up a part and continued to work on the dryer by himself. The dryer needed routine maintenance (remove lint)and he had stanchions on all 4 corners. While leaning inside and hammering on a stuck stanchion, the dryer came down because he had already removed 2 of the stanchions & the the last 2 couldn't support the weight of the dryer. Had the other worker been on site, the accident might have been prevented. I know all of this because George Luz was my father. He and my mom took me to the airport on the previous Monday for my trip back to California, little did I know 4 days later he would be gone. Steven George Luz
