Rolls-Royce Hearses

Many of the pre-WWII Rolls-Royce cars (Silver Ghosts and Phantoms) were scrapped during and just after the war. However, a number were converted to hearses or following cars, They were roomy, impressive and reliable. In time even they were abandoned in favour of the new generation. Not all were broken up. For example, the enterprising owner of a coach building firm in Wigan built up a collection of about 40 vehicles in the late 1950s, intending to convert them back into 'normal' cars - usually open tourers. He managed only 10 or so before going back to coaches and caravans. I have the last one he converted, which was sold to an American in 1965, and would dearly like to find out something about its time as a hearse.
Are there any manufacturers' or undertakers' records from the 1930s/40s, or collections of photographs of such vehicles?
