Re-Interested...;)

I know Kart racing is perfect for kids. Do may adults race Karts? I've read a little, and it seems very complicated to me, as I have no mentor, or experience, and know nobody that does this. Does anyone have any links, or advice for me?
The last time I looked into this was about 15 yrs ago.
