Radio humorist and many-media talent Jean Shepherd (about whom I've written the only book, EXCELSIOR, YOU FATHEAD! THE ART AND ENIGMA OF JEAN SHEPHERD,claimed that in his youth (born 1921) he played the part of Billy Fairchild on the radio serial. This may or may not be true. Does anyone have any primary evidence (such as original papers listing cast members, etc. Plenty of people say he played the part, but they are all just repeating what Shepherd or someone else quoting Shepherd said--and this is not to be believed without better evidence.
