Play with a strained or hurt left wrist

Somehow I sprained my left wrist and was told to lay off golf for a few weeks and let it heal. Hard for me to lay off the game that long. Luckily I remembered a golf swing by Jack kynkendall, the founder of Natural Golf. He substituted a bent left elbow on the back swing for the cocking of the left wrist. He claimed he could always get the left elbow back to where it started a lot easier than he could get the cock left wrist back to where it started at address.

I have played with a bent left elbow before but more or less in the traditional golf swing as I was still using my cocked left wrist. This time I couldn't cock the left wrist without sending a sharp pain up my arm, but I had no problem bending the left elbow on the back swing and keeping the left wrist firm and immobile. I couldn't believe how straight and how far my shots went. At least a half a club longer and almost every shot was dead on line.

Can't wait to try it again soon. If it continues to work I will have a dilemma as to what to do in a couple of weeks when I can once again use the left wrist and may decide to just keep it out of the stroke altogether.
