Platform For Change is a neglected work of Stafford Beer on *applied* cybernetics. And that is a shame. A shame especially on his colleagues.

I spent more than an hour trying to find some references to this book of his. It is not just a book but a complete manual of "world salvage".

The best I could find was a reference to the last "chapter" of the book which recounts his "Encounter with Chile". That meeting changed his life. It is a testament to his love of humanity suffering under its own stupidity that he continued to work in a positive way after the crushing of Allende's democratically chosen government. In spite of the proof that the powers-that-be would crush the emergence of any successful alternative to the rickety social edifice that grew "like Topsy" out the ruins of the dying Feudal system five hundreds years ago.

He carried, on among his other work, to develop a methodology of a non-hierarchical democratic frame work for creating consensus on big issues among thirty participants.
