PRIOR TO AND DURING THE PERSECUTION OF THE KNIGHTS TEMPLAR IN ENGLAND, HENRY II WAS REPUTED TO BE RELATIVELY LENIENT WITH THIS DESPISED ORDER. I am looking for examples of his leniency for a novel I am writing. I also would like to know whether a story that he stole the Templar treasure is true.
