I have read that P.B.S. Pinchback and other siblings and his mother, Eliza Stewart, did not receive anything from his father, William Pinchback when William died. William's sister, took over the plantation, and left them out of the will. Also, P.B.S. sisters, I understand, passed as "white".

William Pinchback was first married to Lavinia Rudd for many years, and then they divorced. They had four (?) children. Those children were also left out of the will. Very little has been said of the "white" children he had by Lavinia Rudd.
