On an early edition on the copyright page it will say;

POCKET BOOK edition published February, 1951
1st printing.............January, 1951

What is the date above the 1st printing listing? Is this actually a 1st printing?

I also have another book that reads;

POCKET BOOK edition published February, 1951
1st printing...................January, 1951
2nd printing.....................April, 1951

Again, what is the date above the 1st printing?
