On an early Jasper Carott live albumn, I think it was Carrott in Knotts, Jasper finishes with 'thanks for coming even with the match on'.
Given the LP was recorded in the mid 70's when live football on Tv was at a premium, can anyone tell me what the match was. Was it a Tv game,or were the local side, near where the 'gig' was played playing. Although I no longer have the albumn I seem to recall it may have been recorded in Mansfield so any Stags fans may be able to help.
This has been bugging me for years can someone please put me out of my misery !
