Ok guys, just got an AI 338 Lapua folding stock, all tricked out. I mounted a Schmidt & bender PMII 5-25x56. Problem, I am all over the place at 200 yards. I have a sako trg 42 using the same ammo hitting the same hole again and again. I am using 225 grain, this is about all I know regarding the ammo.a friend of mine loads it for me, he loads all my 308's as well, all the ammo functions perfectly. The AI just won't shoot???

Twist rates; 1 in 12 inch Sako vs 1 in 11 inch AI. 225 grains makes for a speedy bullet and you may be skipping over the lands/grooves which does not stabilize the round. Each rifle will have one type of ammo that it will shoot best. There is probably a reason why Lapua suggests the 250 grain. You may need to go to a faster twist for the 300 grain bullets.
