Not really a question but some info about him. He and his opera troupe were prisoners of the German army in Italy.

My father was the leader of a partizan group. He was sent to Italy by S O E to organise resistance.
They rescued Gobbi and he never forgot my father.
When he was in London in 1951 my mother & father were given the VIP treatment from him.Dad said he was ever so grateful and was a real gentleman.
