No wonder HT lacks far behind TOI

It is now nearly two months or a little over that when I had made the check payments for the yearly subscription of two papers from HT on the special offer that they had made. They came and collected the checks from home.

I was told that coupons will be delivered to me which I have to give to my newspaper vender who in turn will deliver the years supply of the newspaper.

Yhough there have been verifications over phone at least 4 times about my address and I have been promised that the coupons shall follow within a few days ... THEY HAVE NOT.

The last time the lady who had called told me that they will send the coupons on a sunday as I might not be at home during the weekday when the courier comes. I had thanked her for the consideration as well as the for finally delivering the coupons.

Then today I got a call from some Sigma couriers saying that they want to deliver the coupons to me and I should be at home between 11AM to 7PM tomorrow which is a friday. When I told her that I was assured that the delivery will take place on a Sundau the lady from the couriers point blank refused and said we deliver only on weekdays and your coupons will come tomorrow. If you are not there we shall send them back.

No wonder the circulation of HT is lacking so far behind TOI if they cannot deliver what they promise no matter even after two months of ahving offered the service I wonder how they can be present at news breaking venues and get us the latest news before any one else. They must be reprinting what the other papers report.

I would prefer if my money is duly returned by the HT. I will not charge them the interest for the period they have used it because I think they might be needing it (circulation being so poor). As for me I have started losing the interest of reading the HT or any of their subsediery papers.
