Im trying to finish a paper for my A&P class, and i need an answer to the following question:

Normally, the body is able to regulate the amt. of glucose in the blood and that stored in the liver and muscles. Receptors in the blood vessels detect the amts. of glucose in the blood. A stimulus is sent to bets cells of the pancreas. These cells produce a hormone called insulin, which causes a change in the cells of the lier and muscles. The cells of the liver and muscles are able to absorb more glucose from the blood. Thus the levels of glucose in the blood drops.

list all the possible reasons that could result in a person not being able to store adequate amts. of glucose in the liver and muscle.
