My understanding of what Richard Bucke says is that a person receives cosmic consciouness in a single experience.
I have had 3 experiences however the light only goes part way down the body. Each time, new sensations start to occur several weeks later. These experiences started in 1979, one in 1995, and one in 2001. I know more are to come, and I am trying to find anyone with a similar experience.
