My son is 21 years old. He wants to join the international church of Christ. not because he has changed his beliefs. He has been raised a Roman Catholic all of his life and has never deviated from those beliefs. He is doing this because he is in love with a member. They cannot be together if he does not join. As a parent I feel this is a devastating decision both for himself and for his family. I have read countless articles that scare me. My son will be brainwashed to believe what they want him to believe. I am going to lose my son to a religion he does not care about. I am absolutely heartbroken that the little boy i raised and sent to a Catholic School would make this decision. I am not against his deciding to change religions if it is what he truely feels he wants to do but, not this "religion" Does anyone have any advice for me. Has anyone else gone through this? Please help me.....
