My question is derived from a quotation from the Babylonian Talmud: "Our Rabbis taught: Simeon ha-Pakuli arranged the eighteen benedictions in order before Rabban Gamaliel in Jabneh". Basically the Talmud is telling here how the main Jewish prayer was written around the year 100AD.
I am trying to find a parallel or a comparison in Ancient Greek religion, to the writing or composing of prayers or blessings.
I believe that the sentence "arranged the eighteen benedictions in order" may indicate a magical or spiritual combination, i.e., that blessings should be arranged in a specific order. I wonder if there is something similar to this idea in Greek Religion.
