I had a similar problem with an ancient mercedes 190e Petrol --- I replaced the plug & coil leads & that solved my problem !!! I'm assuming your car is petrol? The leads might be begining to breakdown & the small cracks in the insulation are letting the high voltage that should produce a spark at the plug, fire all over the lead when it is damp.

The other thing that causes me similar problems is the rotor arm in the distributer cap --- however that tends to be a more persistant problem when it occurs & isn't weather dependant. Simply replacing it resolves the problem regardless of weather.

It's just a thought !!
