My grandmother grew up in Ferdinand Place. She was born 1890. Does anybody know what the nearest infant school would have been? I have an old map but the only school I can make out is the Ragged School and I am not sure she would have gone there.

Any help would be gratefully received. I live a long way from Kentish Town!

Hi,
One of the schools in the near area is Richard Cobden
Previously Camden Street School which opened 1874. Renamed King Street School in 1919. Became Richard Cobden School in 1937 If you have access to .ancestry.co.uk/This has the admissions and discharges to London schools. It doesn't have every one but has a lot from the St Pancras Board area that Kentish Town came under at time.
If you don't have access I would be happy to look up your grandmothers name if you like and see what I can find.
Good luck with your research
