My grandfather was A.W.Hall,Sr.who made a small fortune in Quanah during the 20's & 30's buying & selling wheat & cattle in Quanah. The Quanah Acme & Pacific RR ended there in Quanah. He bought wheat & cattle from the local farmers around Quanah & sold both to the stockyards & other busi- nesses in Kansas City, KS.All this is according to my brother James Anthony Hall,Sr. My question is, why is there no mention of my grandfather's name in the history of Quanah, since there were & probably still are buildings with the name of Hall & A.W.Hall on them?My brother also told me that the Greenbelt Creamery is the old site of A.W.'s original business.I would like to be able to print the obituary of my grandfather's death. He died suddenly of a brain aneurism somewhere between June, l937 & December,1938.Also would like a copy of the Quanah Tribune Chief Centenniel 1958 Edition.Does anyone out there have any information on these subjects?
