My father was stationed at Manston around 1955. I am looking for his wing insignia. He was in the 92nd squadron and the insignia was of a mushroom cloud with an english lion in the cloud. He always called it "Death from the Clouds" we are having a model made of his plane and cannot find an insignia anywhere

Hello where ever you are..I was at Manston..92nd FBS July 1955 on. Your dad was in the 92nd..We were in the loop area on the west end of the base runway. He was flying the F 84 which was capable of carrying the nuclear bomb. I do have the manston insignia on my board. Can I help you. I can photo it for an email to confirm. I was an a3c to Alc in the Air Police there. Have some photos of the F84 etc. Please advise not knowing age of your message. Ive lost 3 members of my unit over last year.
