My family and i used to live in new idria in the 80 an it was run by
FUTURE FUNDATION so why that not mention in any article about the town we had 29 horses there on the property and my kids had to ride amotorcylce to catch the bus to school each morning. i receive the only building permit itn the town fof the roperty we were livingon an order get the pge to install an electric line to the residence. I have a lot of doduments concerning new idria

My grandfather, SIMON HIJAR, lived and workedf in New Idria. From the letters of my mothers, it must have been in the late 1800 or the eatly 1900. I would like any information you might find in any historical documents. My e-mail is willoax@yahoo.com

Who are you? My husband and I lived in New Idria in 1981. We were there when the Idria land and development co. went in to look for gold in the tailings, or so the story went. My husband, Alan was in charge of the construction and he helped rebuild the town and restore the homes for people to live in. There were about 26 people that lived there at that time. We lived there for about a year and a half.

Must have been the late 80's I lived there in the early to mid 80's, when it was population three.

Hi i would love to talk to you about new idria it was the best place to live i have soooo many found memories there i was so sad the day it closed i was in 8th grade i never got to say bye to any one it was as though the door was slammed and never got to go back in so sad any one help lol
