My engine kicks and bucks when it gets to 4000 rpm's, would the carb cause this? I have a 1970 GTO 400 ci.

Hey..Read my post, and my feelings about the quadrajet. If your "Injun-Engine" has points and I think it does, I
would find the highest quality points, condenser,Rotor, cap, plug wires and plugs you can find and try that, I like Jeg's and Summitt, I like Jeggy Jr, Greg Anderson and Jason Line so I spend my money there in most cases. I have the kit to convert my system to electronic-no points, which I will install one of these days, and if you desire, to look stock from the outside. It also could be the fuel supply, I would put a fuel pressure gague on it and what presssure you have at that rpm. I believe it could be the quadrajet but I would look at the above items first. If the problem isn't in those not-so-complex target it is more complex..I had hyd lifters once that would 'float' the higher rpms, I set mine at 1/2 turn vs 1 turn.

Good Luck
