My dad owns a 1999 Crown Victoria police interceptor.
The battery died, and we jump started it.
We it the car run for a good half hour or more and we took it for a spin down the highway so the engine rpm was higher too.
on the way home, the ABS light was on and it would flicker
every time it flickered, the speedometer would jump from around.
The speedometer would jump down to 0 from 50 and back again.
the car was running fine, no hitching or bogging, but the dials were jumpy.
when we got home, we shut the car off and tried to start it again, the starter made a fast clicking noise and the car wouldn't start. so the charging system isn't work either.
I would appreciate it greatly if anyone could help me diagnose this problem or tell me what might be wrong.
