My ancestor, Hophni Ryther, died at Trois-Rivieres on June 13, 1776. I am trying to find where he was buried. Where did they bury American casualties?

Hello Rick, David L. here. Hophni was my 4 times great Grandfather. The only ready referance I have to the burial place of Hophni and his comrades is "near Fort Chambly" in Quebec. What generation are you removed from our ancestor William Rider? I am the 10th (born 10/30/34) My Father Thomas C. Ryther a printer and professor of Journalism at the Univ. of Kansas did a lot of research and wrote an autobiographical history of our immediate family entitled "Happenings Along the Way". I have promised my children I will extend it and just returned from a swing through Ill. Mo. and Kan. collecting anecdotal stuff. If you would like me to see what else I can find about the location of Hophni's remains let me know.
David L. Ryther
