My Father is a survivor of the sinking of PT 121. It was sunk by Australian RAAF. One of the Australian pilots, who realized that his compatriots were attacking Allied boats, attempted to stop the attack by putting his plane in between the attacking plane and the boats. We don't know who that brave man is/was, but we thank him. We just passed the 65th Anniversary of the loss of the 121 and PT 353. These men (both American and Australian) are part of the reason that we are free today.
