My Father and Brother both served in the RAF. As yet I have not researched if either of them actually served at RAF Tangmere.

As a child my memories of RAF Tangmere were the public open days. We lived in Littlehampton, which made a visit reasonably easy. I recall they used to have a truck/tractor unit dressed up as a train, which used to give visitors a ride around the camp, it's trailers dressed as coaches.

Could anyone please tell me the year/years these open days were held. Does anyone else remember these wonderful open days.
