I have just finished the last draft of one of three oral histories I did begining in 1992. These were done over a two year period in Tuolumne Meadows on Carl's interpretive walks. Myself and my friend lived in Carl's platform tent in Tuolumne and at his home in San Jose.

The histories are classic Carl as he discussed the flora, fauna, geology, the people and his life in Tuolumne.

I promised the Bancroft Library I would place the oral histories with them and of course Yosemite NP with the help of Archivist Brenna Lissoway.

The first oral history will be available at the Bancroft and Yosemite in the latter part of the summer.

It has taken this long to finish a project begun in the 1990s as my work as a California Park Ranger and Interpretive specialist came first and after retiring I becam the Director of the Alpine County Museum in Markleeville, California. Finally, I have retired for the last time.

With the oral histories we have well over 2500 photographs of Carl, Tuolumne, his San Jose home and trips we took with him all through California.
