Black Moor

My Blackmoor has a loose scale, I think he must have caught it on something and its hanging off. No major damage and he is fine in himself.

we have some danio's and platy's and now everytime my blackmoor sits still, they are pecking at the offending scale, I'm assuming, they want to get it off! but he's not looking too happy about it and cant relax without being pestered.

Has anyone seen this before? And would I be better to get the scale off myself so he can get some sleep? I'm just worried about causing distress or damage.

Any advice/ help would be really appreciated

Hello,

Sorry to hear about your Black moor and his lose scale!
You think he might of caught it I saw you said your fish are pecking his scale trying to get it off do they usally pester him? They might of made a scale a little loose?
How did you notice?
I would of thought your Black moor will be fine :) My Bobblehead has lost a few scales I ask my best friend who has fish if its normal and she says she dunno I read about it and its normal to lose scales now and then.
I would of thought the scale would of fell off..
Im sorry im not so good but I hoped some of this helped? x

Can I ask you a question about my black moor?
Whenever I go to see my fishes my Black moor is sleeping [ I think ] In the corner about the surface sometimes he riggles and moves back to the corner if the filter pushes him away a little bit. Is it normal? Because I get really worried and would hate to see him die if there is anything wrong when I go over he gets up and swims and looks at me but when i leave and watch him from my bed he goes back to sleep its very strange. Ii hope you can help me with that! If I find anything else about your black moor and scales ill be sure to tell you
