My 92 year old mother has had a Rectal Prolapse operation several years ago and is still experiencing lots of pain--only really comfortable when sitting.In the meantime she also has lost almost all control of her bowels. She is too embarrassed to talk to her GP about this problem annd feels she"has to live with it".(She iis not a candidate for any type of surgery at this point in her life because she is too weak.)Please explain how the anal pessary works and if it might be a device she could utilize to be rid of the constant pain.Thank you in advance for considering my question.
