My 1995 lincoln mark VIII has started bogging and sputtering when I press the gas pedal.I changed the fuel filter hoping that would solve my issue.It didn't.Check engine light has flashed on briefly,but is not on continuosly.Mechanic says he won't be able to get error codes unless check engine light is currently on.any suggestions or input would be appreciated.
