Mr. Bakker mentioned that his son approaches all people about conversion to Christianity, even gays and lesbians, following this statement with, "After all, we are what we are!"

Is he implying that he still pursues sex with adolescent boys?

Possibly, but in this case I belive Mr. Bakker was saying that his son son preaches to gays and lesbians rather than abjuring them as many evangelicals do. Many right-wing Christians consider them unredeemable and unworthy to hear the Word of God.

Mr. Bakker's emphesis regarding the inclusion of gays and lesbians, by his son, wasn't the focus of his conclusion nor was their assumed rejection by those considered Christians. It was Mr. Bakker's so casually submitted assumption that a history of sexually violating minor children may be, "just who we are."

There's just something special about someone with an edge, like size, age, strength, power or money who will express a position of perceived superiority, perverted or natural, at the expense of the disadvantaged. Such practice is common and demonstrated in every feild of human experience, yet it is exclusively degrading, degenerate and a perversion of anything that might approach an example of respect for another.

God, by His intrinsic nature, is love. That's a given when I look around, but a person can exploit the weak and just pisssss Him off.
