Greetings all,

As a keen reader of the works of Antoine de Saint-Exupery, especially Sand Wind and Stars, I have always wondered if anyone has determined the location of the mesa that Antoine de Saint-Exupery made the forced landing on in Sand Wind and Stars. It is mentioned in section 2 of chapter 5 ( the plane and the planet) of the novel and details his finding of a meteorite in the coraline sands at the mesa summit, with the realisation in the gathering twilight of the objects cosmic origins.
This short passage perfectly encapsulates with brevity the sense of wonder that anyone with a love of astronomy and the night sky can appreciate.
I have examined the area north of Cape Juby in Google Earth for a steep sided conical frustrum as described in the novel but am unable to narrow down the possible candidates further
Can anyone provide any further information on this
