Let me start by trying to put this all in context. I know next to nothing about the inner workings of the photo booth and how it actually works. However I do tinker with computers and pro audio gear and mild circuitry. I'm a bit of an AV geek and that's probably the reason the the widow of a good friend of mine asked me to look into the repair of his photo booth.

there are a couple of issues that the booth has right now. however the most pressing is that the cash collector won't communicate with the rest of the booth. the cash collector is a MEI series 2000, nodel number: VN 2521 U3. It is throwing a code for "disconnected from system." I've tried to chase down leads, reseat connections, and anything else that popped into my head to try. nothing worked.

If there are any links to manuals or other tips, advice, suggestions, ANYTHING. Please help me out. I'd really like to fix this for my friends widow. It would me a lot to her to have it running again.
