Khmer Empire Kings adopted Hindu from India, and they wore clothes and crown similar to an ancient Indian Royalty or similar to Indian traditional wedding.



Look at this first link below, King Suryavaraman II wore gold around his kneck and crossed his chest, no shirt.

But the link below, the image is not for King Suryavaraman II, it is the image of Vietnamese. Look at the crown on his head, his clothes is purely Vietnamese. I think whoever did this image below has no respect for the ancient treasure.



I am Thai and Thais and Khmers have the same traditional culture, and I think the image below is tasteless.
