Kashmir dispute

After my opinion, a political solution to the conflict over Kashmir is almost impossible. There are three possibilities for a compromise but none of them is acceptable to both nuclear powers (India and Pakistan).
1. The idea of an independent state Kashmir is not favoured by either side.
2. The line of control which separates the region is approved of as “de jure” international border. In all likelihood this would not be favoured by Pakistan.
3. The double sovereignty (the sovereignty of two states over the same territory) that would lead to the reintegration of the province. This last one would be received with mistrust by both countries.
