Your Grandmother was my Great Aunt ..MY Gandad was your Grandmothers wee brother James...There other brothers and sisters where Ealoner,Matthew,Thomas,Leo and isobella and there mother was Mary Devlin nee Fitzpatrick, they were all born and raised in Dublin and i know my Great Auntie Clare was a taxi driver and had more than twelve children...so we are definatley cousins my blood is your blood... we also have heard that Bernadette Devlin is our Cousin and i have no doubt she is i can see resemblence in other family members ..Clares Dad was A Tyrone man, John Devlin my Great Grandfather, i know he was a policeman and have heard many strories about him .... i would love to Here from you Sean, as thee is no doubt we are rewlated.....Fraternal Greetings, Pol O'Debhlinn.Paul Devlin

Hello Paul and Sean, I am hoping you might be able to help me, I am currently researching my grandmothers family. I was told by an older cousin that we are related to Bernadette Devlin, being here in NZ, I had never heard of her, very interesting lady. I am not exactly how My family is connected to her, but I think her father and My Grandmother may have been first cousins. My Grandmother's Grandmother was Martha Devlin, I have no idea as to where she was born, all I know is that Martha was born in 1862, and she married Edward Quinn, they moved to Motherwell Scotland at some stage during the potato family. My Great Grandmother was MAry Quinn (born 1890), she married John Mohan and immigrated to New Zealand after world war 1. I am quite shocked to see how much of a resemblence Bernadette has to my aunts and great aunts, and have discovered my rosey red cheeks could possibley be'devlin cheeks', hehe.
